Viben Sultry Wand Massager

I purchased this wand 2 years and 1 month ago, and it no longer holds a charge. I charged it less than 24 hours ago, and put it away without using it, and the battery is dead again.

In contrast, I also purchased a rechargeable magic wand from this store, in the same transaction, and it's still going strong with lots more use.

I like both wands, this one has a lot more patterns, but vibrates at a higher frequency. If you accidentally hit the pattern button, it's also annoying to get back to no-pattern, or the previous pattern. You have to hit the pattern button 20 more times to get back to where you were.

Removing one star for longevity, and one for the ease-of-use issue with the patterns I mentioned.

Picked this up a couple years ago and have loved it since! Love that there's eight vibration speeds (versus the four of the MWR). It's fantastically rumbly on the lower settings, and I can orgasm on the lowest setting if I'm so inclined. The handle is comfortable to hold, with not much vibration transmitting through it. I also enjoy that it's waterproof because I am a sucker for easy cleaning.

I do wish there was a minus button to lower power, however. Maybe nix most of the patterns while we're at it (but at least they're sequestered to their own button).

But other than those gripes, it's been great for me! Being able to have lazy orgasms is fantastic.

Got this in the holiday sale since my magic Wand finally stopped running after about 5 years -

and it has the 8 speeds, which is a lot more. The power is good and the silicone feels good.

Have a Viben Obsession which we've been really happy with, and wanted to get a backup, so went with the Sultry. Have to say on the whole, neither of us are terribly impressed.

First and foremost, it's not as strong as the Obsession. Keep that in mind if you like something with a bit of power. The top level power on the Sultry is okay, but nowhere near even the second of three levels on the Obsession. There are 8 power levels on the Sultry as opposed to 3 on the Obsession, and that might sound like a good thing, but since the range is small, the steps are so close as to be hard to notice a difference. It also requires a separate click for each step and if you don't count right, it drops from max power to minimum.

Next, the charging plug is one of the insert type so you have to remember which cord it goes with because every one I've seen so far is different. The Obsession has a much simpler two-pole magnetic charger, which can be a little finicky but once you know how to use it, is simple and easy.

The Obsession also has large, well spaced buttons that are easy to find by feel, but the Sultry has three tiny buttons all stacked close to each other that can only be found (without looking) by searching for a little irregularity to the surface. I imagine it's part of the waterproofing being better on this one, but it's hard to find the on/off and power levels buttons, even more so in the heat of the moment.

All in all, it's quite a miss for us, which is a bummer because the Obsession is SO good. If returns were a thing, it'd be going back.
