The outer layer of silicone there is a 0 A-Shore durometer, vs. rocks measuring in at 99 A (where higher number = harder!). VixSkin, as a dual-density composition, does have a firmer core underneath that soft outer layer – there, the firm core (in 20A silicone) is intended to make a dildo feel more inflexible, just as a full erection is less flexible.
We would strongly recommend as an alternative any dildo (or plug!) in SquarePegToys' 'SuperSoft' silicone: it was specifically made for anal play & stretching widely anally, more comfortably.
