How to Pick a Pussy Plug
Picking a pussy plug is a daunting task. It’s not as easy as finding a butt plug that could be used vaginally because most butt plugs aren’t meant for vaginal wear. But that’s why you’ve got us here at Peepshow Toys to help you find the pussy plug that’s right for you!
Before we jump too far in, let’s go over the basics.
What is a pussy plug? A pussy plug is a short toy meant for extended insertion to give the user a sense of fullness. Though some butt plugs can be used as pussy plugs, many aren’t up for the task due to shape, size, or materials. For example, a glass plug isn’t going to have the same amount of friction to keep it in place as a silicone plug.
Why should I use a pussy plug? Pussy plugs are perfect for those who want a feeling of fullness, those who want to experience double penetration, people who want to strengthen their pelvic floors, anyone who needs a warm up before penetration, or someone looking to help make sex more comfortable! Strengthening your pelvic floor can lead to better orgasms, reduced discomfort during sex and reduced incontinence.
How do I use a pussy plug? After you’ve picked out one of our recommendations below and received your order, start with a bit of lube! Squat or lay in a comfortable position and slowly insert the plug. You’ll notice a sensation of fullness after insertion and it may take you a little bit of practice & time to get used to that sensation for long periods of time. It’s recommended to train yourself to wear them for long periods of time, so start with it inserted for 15-30 minutes and build up to longer wear. If you’re wearing a pussy plug and want some additional support, try comfortable but tight fighting panties and either shapewear or bike shorts to keep it in place as you move around.
You can use your pussy plug during solo play or partnered play. For solo play, keep it inserted while you stimulate your clitoris or anus, or you can even just move your hips around in a way that provides you with stimulation. During partnered play, you can have one inserted during oral sex, as they use a vibrator on you, or while penetrating you anally. Pussy plugs can be worn during pleasure or while you do your daily workout (or chores).
Why not a butt plug? Simply put, not all butt plugs were designed to double as pussy plugs. Your standard “cone” shaped butt plugs aren’t designed to hit the right spots internally and therefore you may find them uncomfortable or even painful. Overall length, neck size, and base are all design features that may or may not provide comfort and pleasure. The last thing we want is for you to experience discomfort when using sex toys! Why not shave yourself the trial & error and get a toy specifically made for your anatomy?
Now the fun part: Picking out a pussy plug!
Here at Peepshow Toys, we have three non-vibrating plug options, each of which has a different and unique sensation.
The Honcho is designed as a butt plug, but this one is also comfortably shaped for vaginal wear as well. It’s available in 3 sizes and is definitely going to give you the sensation of feeling full. The super softness of the silicone makes this one extra squishy. Though it was designed as a butt plug, the short length and smooshy soft silicone makes this a perfect option to use as a pussy plug.
The base is large and thick, and there is a neck on this one that I think adds to comfort. However, from personal experience, I personally would not recommend this to someone who has meaty labia, as it can give you a pinching sensation if you’re not careful. Lube helps with this, and some may find the large base comfortable to sit on or while bouncing up & down.
Honcho’s sizing goes from 1-3, and if you’ve not used a pussy plug before I’d suggest starting at size 1. Size 2 could help with extra stretching, but size 3 should only be used by someone with experience with larger insertions as it is very very girthy. You can get the Honcho in our exclusive Blackberry coloration or Rainbow or Black.
The Sensi is a squishy soft silicone plug with a “one size fits most” sizing. This one can also double as a g-spot dildo, making it an excellent choice if you’re looking for a pussy plug for double penetration, bouncing on or while rocking your hips. It doesn’t have the girth of the Honcho, but it does have a similar length.
The base is small with a gradual increase in thickness. It is comfortable enough for long term wear between the labia. Sensi is not designed to double as a butt plug, so be sure not to use this one anally!!
You can get the Sensi in either Mermaid Blue to Pearl White or Amethyst to Pear White.
The G Squeeze is the first pussy plug from SquarePegToys and was carefully designed to fit inside the vagina. The shape makes it the most versatile of our pussy plugs, as you can choose to fold it before insertion, insert it as is, turn it in different directions, or insert it with the Lovense Lush in the concave groove. Since this one was specifically designed for vaginas, this is the most comfortable to wear in my opinion.
The base is slim, so it comfortably fits between labia for long term wear. The G Squeeze is my personal favorite due to the base and contoured design that was made to curve around the pelvic bone.
We carry the G Squeeze in 4 sizes (small-extra large) and in Bronze, Graphite, Pink Sugar or Ultra Violet. If you’re looking for a stretching kit, we also carry the G Squeeze in a 3-pack including small, medium and large pussy plugs plus lube and toy cleaner!
For first time pussy plug users, I’d suggest to start small and work your way up. Stretching can be a lot of fun, but much like working out other muscles, you do want to train prior to going big. Anatomies can be different, so you may find the Honcho more comfortable for you than I found it or the Sensi not squishy enough, so consider what you personally find enjoyable.
If you’ve tried one of these plugs, we’d love to hear your thoughts on Twitter! @ us and tell us what you love about each one.
